Job description: Progress 4GL/QAD Technical/Software Engineer

Nextgenee is looking for a Software Engineer to work on problems of moderate scope where analyzing situations or data necessitates a review of a number of factors. To determine appropriate action, uses judgement within defined procedures and practices. Provides problem resolutions for reported defects through problem analysis, coding, and testing in accordance with Maintenance support procedures and practices. Enhance existing QAD software products in accordance with the functional specifications provided.

Responsibilities:

• QAD version experience is needed

• Very good Programming skill in PROGRESS 4GL (Open Edge)

• Technical Professional Competencies In depth knowledge on Progress 4GL (programming language) and best practices

• Following training, examine and resolve assigned customer incidents involving QAD core products.

• High-level business analysis should be translated into physical code. Maintain quality standards and procedures that are well-defined.

• Create and execute unit and system test plans/specifications

• Code review (both internal and external) to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications

• Analyze, design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and debug product enhancements

• Discover and fix programming bugs

• Development experience with programming languages

Education Qualifications:

• UG :Any Graduate

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field

• 2+ years experience in a software engineering role
